Considerations

• No imaging may be necessary initially. Nonresponders to conventional therapy,those with frequent reinfections or relapses, or have suspected underlying risk factors (stones, possible fistula, etc) may need CT, MR or US.
• CT can detect stones, diverticula, complications of bowel disease (i.e diverticulitis with fistula), abscess. MRI also appropriate, especially in pregnancy or if urethral diverticulum suspected.

• US female pelvis
