Considerations

• Very helpful if both IV and oral contrast administered for CT. Generally, pre- and post contrast liver NOT needed, unless CT is for staging of known CA and patient has no CT on record.

Recommended tests

• CT abdomen and pelvis with IV contrast
• CT abdomen and pelvis without IV or oral contrast
• MRI abdomen with gadolinium
• CT abdomen and pelvis with IV and oral contrast
• US abdomen complete study
