CT pelvis without IV contrast
- Strengths
- used for fracture evaluation. More sensitive than standard Xray for high clinical suspicion.
- Limitations
- If for non-musculoskeletal pelvic pain, often both CT abdomen AND pelvis required for complete evaluation as findings may involve both regions. IV contrast usually recommended for non-MSK indications.
