MR brachial plexus
- Strengths
- suspected mass/anatomic abnormality. Usually requires gadolinium for complete evaluation.
- Limitations
- CT can be used as well, but MR > CT given better tissue discrimination of MR.
- Contraindications
- IV contrast will not be given in renal insufficiency (Creatinine clearance <30) due to risk of NSF; CrCl between 30 and 60 on case by case basis. Requires discussion with radiologist.
