- Generally will need INR<=1.5 and platelets >50K. On site radiology nurse support. Very low complication and high diagnostic rate. H and P required for pathologist to aid interpretation.

- Contraindications
- Coagulopathy. Some anticoagulants must be held for procedure: coumadin held until INR<=1.5; lovenox held 1 dose or 12 hours prior to procedure; plavix and full dose aspirin held 5 days; Ticlid held for 7 days.

- Patient Preparation
- NPO for 4 hours. Patient will remain in observation for at least 3 hours. Will need driver upon discharge.
