- Strengths
- Survey liver, spleen, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary sytem. CT may still be required for further study if abnormality discovered.
- Limitations
- If suspect bowel, mesenteric or vascular source of symptoms, CT probably better initial first line choice.
